Senior Groundworks Site Manager

Location: Liverpool

We are seeking an experienced Senior Groundworks Site Manager to oversee groundworks operations on a major construction project in Liverpool.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing site teams, subcontractors and groundworks packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all groundworks operations on site.
• Manage site managers, supervisors, subcontractors and labour teams.
• Take ownership of programme delivery, productivity and site progress.
• Oversee foundations, drainage, roads and sewers, infrastructure and external works.
• Coordinate plant, labour, materials and subcontractor resources.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications and project

requirements.

• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality assurance and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with the project management team, engineers and client representatives.
• Identify and resolve site issues, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are achieved.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Groundworks Site Manager on large-scale construction or residential developments.
• Strong technical knowledge of groundworks, drainage and infrastructure packages.
• SMSTS certificate – essential.
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid qualification desirable.
• Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
