Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 + Car Allowance

Location: Central London

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, an established construction company is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor

you will be operating across a variety of sectors, including Commercial, Residential and Cut & Carve, the business delivers high-quality construction projects valued up to £100m, providing excellent exposure to complex, high-value developments throughout Central London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their commercial experience, work alongside an experienced team and benefit from a clear progression path towards Quantity Surveyor and beyond.

The Role

Assist with the commercial management of construction projects from procurement through to final account.

Support the preparation of cost reports, budgets and financial forecasts.

Assist with subcontractor procurement, valuations and payments.

Help manage variations, change control and contractual documentation.

Monitor project costs and assist with maintaining commercial control.

Liaise with project managers, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.

Gain hands-on experience across a range of exciting Central London developments.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or in a similar commercial role within construction.

A relevant degree or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

A basic understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost management.

Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.

Good communication skills and a proactive approach to learning.

A genuine desire to develop into a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor.
