Business Development Manager

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join an established customs organisation based in Folkestone, supporting the continued commercial growth of the business by identifying and converting new customer opportunities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working closely with internal teams, you will develop new B2B business opportunities, build strong customer relationships and support the delivery of an effective customs brokerage sales strategy.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Benefits include a salary of circa £40,000 depending on experience, plus commission.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Responsibilities</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support the development of an effective sales strategy to drive business growth.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identify and convert new sales opportunities through lead generation, networking and market research.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Research market trends, competitor activity and new territories to identify commercial opportunities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Attend trade shows, exhibitions and industry events to develop new contacts and generate leads.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Conduct client visits, product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Produce regular reports on new client progress and prospect pipelines to support management decision-making and future planning.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Proven success in a B2B sales or business development role, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within the customs industry is essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email systems.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Collaborative and customer-focused, with a proactive and commercially driven approach.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Self-motivated, confident and able to identify and pursue new business opportunities.</p>
