Class 1 Driver

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bicester area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am start
Pay Rates: £16.36 per hour PAYE with overtime at £24.52 after 40 hours.

The role:
· Collect parcels from well-known customers, including full trailer collections and deliveries - Up to 7 per day
· Manual handling is heavily involved, and drivers will assist with loading and unloading of parcels at the depot and customer locations.
. Handling devices and company software to update delivery status and communicating with the depot.
· Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
· Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
· Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
. 12 months experience required
· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Excellent communication skills.
