About the Company

My client is an established UK-wide provider of plant machinery and powered access equipment for hire, operating from multiple depots across the country.

Due to continued demand, they are looking for a reliable and customer-

focused Class 1 HGV Driver to join their team in East London. The role involves delivering and collecting hire equipment from customer sites across the local area, ensuring machinery is transported safely, efficiently and professionally.

The Role

Deliver and collect plant machinery and powered access equipment from customer sites across the local area.

Safely load, unload and transport equipment in line with company procedures and health and safety

requirements.

Provide excellent customer service when attending customer sites and interacting with clients.

Ensure deliveries and collections are completed efficiently and within agreed timeframes.

Carry out vehicle and load safety checks, ensuring equipment is transported securely.

Maintain accurate delivery and collection records.

Use initiative to manage your workload effectively while maintaining excellent timekeeping.

Complete all required training, including approved IPAF operator and load/unload training.What You’ll Need

A valid Class 1 HGV driving licence.

A valid Driver CPC qualification.

Previous experience in multi-drop deliveries and collections.

A friendly, professional and customer-focused approach.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Good timekeeping, organisation and problem-solving skills.

A strong commitment to safe working practices.A CSCS card would be advantageous but is not essential.

Previous experience loading and unloading plant machinery or powered access equipment would also be beneficial, although full training will be provided.
