Class 1 Driver

Class 1 Day Driver Pay Rate: £41,161.66 Grade: RCS P Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Shift patterns: Monday to Friday, start times between 6am-8am or 9am-11am Location: Daventry, NN11 5NF

Join DHL as a Class 1 Day Driver based in Coventry, responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of products while maintaining high standards of customer service, compliance, vehicle safety and operational accuracy.

A typical day may involve:

• Safely transport and deliver products in line with company, customer and legislative requirements.
• Complete daily vehicle checks, report defects and maintain vehicle cleanliness and operational standards.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork, PODs and other transport documentation.
• Secure loads correctly, perform product checks and report any shortages, damages or discrepancies.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team and represent DHL professionally when interacting with customers.

This role would suit people who:

• Experienced Class 1 drivers with previous commercial vehicle driving experience.
• Individuals who can work safely within a physically demanding environment and follow established procedures.
• Candidates with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Drivers who are comfortable working shifts and can adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Those who hold a valid Driver CPC qualification and driving licence (essential) and enjoy delivering excellent service to customers.
