Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E)

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your responsibilities will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Safe & Compliant Driving –  Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in line with all UK road transport regulations and driver hours rules.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Day Drivers – Carry out scheduled deliveries, ensuring timely and professional service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Night Drivers – Primarily trunking between depot and designated sites.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Vehicle Checks – Complete thorough pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections and report defects.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Documentation – Accurately complete delivery notes, defect reports, and tachograph records.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Customer Service – Represent the company professionally at all times.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">No Handballing required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Driver CPC card</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Digital Tachograph card</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good understanding of driver hours & working time regulations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong communication skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Willingness to complete theory & driving assessment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working Hours:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">40-hour basic week (typical 40–44 hours)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Overtime available</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Some weekend work required during peak periods</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Start Times:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Day Shifts: 04:30 – 07:00</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Night Shifts: 15:30 – 18:00</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pay Rates:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Days: £19.63 per hour</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Nights: £19.63 per hour + £14.12 per shift allowance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Saturday/Sunday/Bank Holidays: £24.54 per hour</p>
