Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to support our long-established customer based in Bilston, West Midlands .

Our client is a leading UK poultry supplier serving major retailers, foodservice providers and food manufacturers nationwide, operating a large-scale logistics network and modern distribution operation.

Pay Rates

Standard PAYE

• Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday: £19.00 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holidays: £20.00 per hour

PAYE with Rolled Up Holiday Pay (Optional)

• Monday to Friday: £20.17 per hour
• Saturday: £21.29 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holidays: £22.41 per hour

Rolled up holiday pay is available as an option, allowing drivers to receive their holiday entitlement within their hourly rate rather than accruing it separately.

The Role

As a Class 1 Night Driver , you will be responsible for completing store deliveries across local and nationwide routes while representing both our customer and Pure Staff professionally.

Typical duties include:

• Completing between 1 and 3 deliveries per shift
• Delivering to stores throughout the UK
• Operating a tail lift safely and efficiently
• Completing PODs and delivery documentation accurately
• Conducting daily vehicle checks
• Ensuring compliance with Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude whilst on site

This role offers a good balance between driving and customer interaction, with well-planned routes and strong operational support.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• Typical start times between 14:00 and 17:00
• Shifts generally lasting 8 to 12 hours
• Optional weekend shifts available
• Regular ongoing work available

Requirements

Applicants for this Class 1 Night Driver role must have:

• UK Category C+E Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of UK driving regulations
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Professional approach to customer-facing deliveries

Previous experience as a Class 1 Night Driver , HGV Class 1 Driver or LGV C+E Driver would be advantageous.
