Pure Staff Birmingham are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Day Driver to work with one of our long-standing customers based in the Coleshill area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 2 Day Driver looking for ongoing, full-time work with a highly respected transport operation.

Our customer is a well-established UK logistics and freight specialist with a nationwide network, recognised for delivering high-quality transport and warehousing solutions through a modern fleet and professional transport team.

Pay Rates

• £15.00 per hour PAYE
• £16.81 per hour PAYE including rolled-up holiday pay
• Monday to Friday
• Ongoing work available

Holiday Pay Options

This vacancy offers the flexibility of either:

• Accrued holiday pay, paid separately when annual leave is taken
• Rolled-up holiday pay, increasing your hourly rate to £16.81 per hour

This allows you to choose the option that best suits your personal circumstances.

Shift Pattern

• Monday to Friday
• 06:00 start times
• Typically 8-12 hour shifts
• Overtime available depending on business requirements

Class 2 Day Driver Duties

As a Class 2 Day Driver , your daily responsibilities will include:

• Completing 5-8 local deliveries and collections per day
• Multi-drop palletised deliveries
• Operating a tail lift safely and efficiently
• Collecting empty cages from customer sites
• Completing proof of delivery (POD) paperwork accurately
• Carrying out vehicle checks and adhering to driver regulations
• Delivering excellent customer service at all times
• Representing both Pure Staff and the customer professionally

This role is within the logistics and transport industry and offers a varied working day with regular customer interaction.

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this Class 2 Day Driver role, you will require:

• Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Strong customer service skills
• Professional and reliable approach to work
