About the Role

Recruit A Driver is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HGV Drivers for a well-established client based in Morley, Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for regular weekday work with ongoing opportunities available. The role involves transporting palletised goods using curtain-sided vehicles with automatic gearboxes , completing up to 10 deliveries per shift across well-planned routes.

All deliveries are customer offloaded, so there is no tail lift work , making this an ideal role for drivers who enjoy straightforward general haulage.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised goods safely and efficiently
• Operate curtain-sided Class 2 vehicles with automatic gearboxes
• Complete up to 10 deliveries per shift
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks
• Secure loads using ratchets and straps
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Comply with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Recent Class 2 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Confident using ratchets and straps to secure loads
• Physically fit to operate trailer curtains
• Maximum 6 penalty points (minor endorsements only)
• Reliable, professional and safety-focused approach
