Driver Loader (HGV Class 2)

Location: Council Depots Across Cardiff.

Job Type: Temporary/Ongoing with Potential for Permanent Opportunities

Salary: £14.59 - £21.89 per hour

Driver Loader Required

Our client, a well-established Local Authority, is seeking experienced and reliable Driver Loaders to join their Waste and Recycling Operations team.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for stable, ongoing work with a respected public sector organisation.

As a Driver Loader,

you will be responsible for operating refuse collection vehicles and supporting waste collection services across the borough.

You will play a key role in delivering essential environmental services to local communities.

Key Duties

Driving and operating HGV Class 2 refuse collection vehicles.

Working alongside a team of loaders to collect household waste and recycling.

Conducting daily vehicle inspections and reporting any defects.

Following planned collection routes and schedules.

Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.

Providing a professional and courteous service to members of the public.

Assisting with loading duties when required.Candidate

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.

Current Driver CPC Qualification Card.

Digital Tachograph Card.

Previous experience driving refuse collection vehicles or similar HGV vehicles preferred.

Good understanding of health and safety practices.

Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties.

Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.What We Offer
