Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver to join our client’s friendly and professional team in Dartford. This long-term, ongoing day-shift assignment offers consistent routes to regular customer locations, giving you the stability of familiar deliveries and predictable working hours.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will work independently, manage each delivery safely and efficiently, and represent the business to a high standard. The role includes manual loading and unloading, accurate paperwork, use of job-tracking technology and occasional warehouse support at the end of the shift.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out thorough vehicle checks at the beginning and end of every shift, reporting any defects promptly.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Load and unload the vehicle safely, ensuring all goods are secure and the trailer is emptied on return to site.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Consistent local routes servicing approximately 4 regular customer locations (maximum delivery distance to London).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Use job-tracking software to receive assignments, update delivery status and navigate the route.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete all delivery paperwork accurately and use computerised equipment as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Build and maintain a positive, professional relationship with regular customers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Follow all road safety, site and company procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support with occasional end-of-shift warehouse duties, including putting cages away, as directed.</p>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>For insurance purposes, applicants must be aged 25 or over.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Good physical fitness, as manual loading and unloading is required.</span></li>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Shift pattern, pay and benefits</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday to Thursday: 06:00–15:00 (8.5hrs working, 30min unpaid break)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Friday: 06:00–14:30 (8 hrs working, 30min unpaid break)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">42 paid hours per week.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Standard hourly rate: £17.43 (basic rate includes London waiting)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Overtime and up to 12:00pm Saturday: £17.73</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Overtime Saturday and Bank Holiday: £21.82</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Annual salary equivalent: to be confirmed.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Weekly pay and online payslips.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Workplace pension.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">28 days’ annual leave, inclusive of eight bank holidays.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Annual leave entitlement increases to 30 days, inclusive of bank holidays, after 12 completed weeks.</p>
