Salary: £95 - £110 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with an all-age SEND school in Stoke-on-Trent that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment for children and young people with a wide range of additional needs. The setting is committed to helping every pupil develop academically, socially and emotionally through personalised support and a nurturing approach.

The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant for both long-term and short-term opportunities starting in September. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will support pupils of all ages with mixed SEND needs, working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, independence and positive learning outcomes throughout the school day.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
• Experience working with pupils with a range of additional needs
• A positive, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• A willingness to get stuck in and adapt to the needs of the school
