Job Description & Overview
As a Senior or Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will lead electrical design across a portfolio of UK projects from concept to completion. You’ll work with project leaders to steer multidisciplinary delivery, coordinate with stakeholders, and shape innovative engineering solutions that support sustainable built environments. You’ll mentor junior engineers while maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to programme, quality, and safety objectives. - Lead electrical building services design from inception to completion
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams and stakeholders
- Produce and review technical designs, calculations, specifications, and reports
- Support delivery aligned with programme, budget, quality, and safety
- Maintain and develop client relationships
- Chair design and coordination meetings with internal and external teams
- Utilise BIM and digital engineering tools to support delivery
- Develop and mentor junior engineers
- Support commercial performance and project profitability
- Stay up to date with legislation, standards, and best practice
- Strong background in Electrical Building Services Design within a consultancy
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards Chartership (IET or CIBSE)
- Experience delivering multidisciplinary building services projects in the UK
- Proficiency with BIM and digital design tools; Revit MEP experience highly desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple project priorities
