Cover Supervisors

Cover Supervisor – Daily supply, starting as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working on a daily supply basis in Diss and the surrounding areas, supporting secondary schools with short‑term cover needs.

Duties as Cover Supervisor

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and classroom activity
• Support the wider school community and uphold safeguarding standards
• Adapt quickly to different school environments and expectations

Ideal Cover Supervisor

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school or youth setting
• Confident in managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work across a range of subjects
• A degree or relevant qualification is desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
