FLT Driver (Counterbalance) & (Reach)

My client in the BD4 area of Bradford are looking for an experienced FLT Driver / Yard Operative.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks and other warehouse equipment to efficiently handle materials, and support overall site operations. This role requires a proactive individual with mechanical aptitude and experience in operating FLT ensuring smooth and safe logistics processes.

Responsibilities

Operate forklift trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate placement and storage within the varoius warehouses.

Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and inventory management.

Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment as needed.

Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent damage or injury.

Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.

Support stock organisation, replenishment, and order fulfilment processes.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment at all times.

Occasionally operate our onsite baler.

Attend daily operational meetings

Experience

Proven experience operating forklift trucks (valid certification)

Experience in materials handling, shipping, and receiving operations.

Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair or troubleshooting is advantageous.

Previous experience demonstrating familiarity with load & unload procedures.

Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or moving around the warehouse environment.
