FLT Driver / Factory & Site Operative

An established electrical engineering company based in Stoke Prior is looking for a reliable, hands-on FLT Driver / Factory & Site Operative to join the team. This varied role combines driving, deliveries, factory work, site labouring and general maintenance. The successful candidate will be flexible and happy to turn their hand to a variety of duties, including travelling to sites across the UK, with some overnight stays required.

Duties of an FLT Driver / Factory & Site Operative

• General factory work, assembly and labouring.
• Operating a forklift truck (FLT).
• Driving a flatbed vehicle and carrying out deliveries to sites.
• Loading and offloading materials and equipment.
• Carrying out basic mechanical work on Air Handling Units (AHUs).
• Assisting with site installation work and general labouring duties.
• Managing and organising stores and stock.
• Carrying out general factory maintenance.
• Supporting the team with day-to-day tasks as required.

Requirements for the FLT Driver / Factory & Site Operative

• Valid FLT licence.
• Full, clean driving licence.
• Confident driving a flatbed vehicle and undertaking deliveries.
• Valid CSCS card for site work.
• Practical, hands-on and mechanically minded.
• Flexible, reliable and willing to undertake a variety of duties.
• Happy to travel and stay away overnight when required, as work is UK-wide.

Location: Stoke Prior, Worcestershire

Hours of work: 8am–5pm, Monday to Friday

Pay: £15.50–£16.00 per hour

Contract: Temporary to permanent
