<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver / Overhead Crane Operator to join a busy steel manufacturing and engineering environment in Dudley.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will have previous experience handling steel and heavy materials, along with experience operating both a forklift and overhead crane.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As a Forklift Driver / Overhead Crane Operator,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for the safe movement, loading and unloading of steel, raw materials and finished products around the site.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Duties will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Operating an overhead crane to lift, move and position steel and heavy materials</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Loading and unloading steel, sheet metal and other heavy materials</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Moving raw materials and finished products around the factory</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Supplying production areas with steel and materials as required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Storing steel and materials safely within designated areas</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Using lifting equipment and attachments safely</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Carrying out daily forklift and lifting equipment checks</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Working closely with production and manufacturing teams</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Completing relevant paperwork and stock movements</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Ideal Candidate</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will ideally have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Previous experience as a Forklift Driver, FLT Driver, Counterbalance Driver or Materials Handler</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Previous experience operating an overhead crane</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Experience handling steel, sheet metal or other heavy materials</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Previous experience within a steel, manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or industrial environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Confident operating forklifts around heavy and oversized materials</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Experience loading and unloading steel and other industrial products</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Good understanding of safe lifting and material handling procedures</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Strong awareness of workplace Health & Safety</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">• Ability to work independently and as part of a busy team</p>
