<p class="text-muted mb-3">Our client is an established freight forwarding business specialising in road freight across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add an experienced Road Freight Operator to their team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience within road freight who enjoys a busy operational role and is confident dealing with customers, hauliers and overseas partners.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Monday to Friday</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will be responsible for managing road freight shipments from booking through to delivery, ensuring everything runs smoothly and customers are kept fully updated throughout the process.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Your responsibilities will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Arranging and coordinating UK and European road freight shipments</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Booking transport with hauliers and subcontractors</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaising with customers, suppliers and overseas partners</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Preparing and checking relevant shipping and customs documentation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitoring shipments and providing customers with regular updates</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Obtaining and negotiating transport rates where required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Tracking deliveries and dealing with any issues or delays</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate shipment records</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and within agreed deadlines</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Preparing and providing competitive freight quotations and pricing for customers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Building strong working relationships with customers and transport partners</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within road freight operations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for someone who is:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Organised and able to manage multiple shipments at once</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confident communicating with customers and suppliers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Comfortable working in a fast-paced freight environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Commercially aware with good attention to detail</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experienced with UK and/or European road freight for UK based freight forwarder</p>
