<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We're recruiting for an experienced Freight Forwarder to join a friendly and well-established freight forwarding business in Portsmouth.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a varied role within a close-knit operations team, with a 50:50 split between import customs clearance and freight forwarding. You'll manage shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, working across sea and air freight while maintaining regular contact with customers and suppliers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Managing import shipments from booking through to delivery</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing and processing import customs entries via CDS</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinating sea and air freight movements</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Arranging collections and deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaising with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and other suppliers</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Tracking shipments and keeping customers updated</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Handling queries and resolving any issues that arise</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring shipments are processed accurately and within deadlines</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We're looking for someone with 2+ years' experience in freight forwarding, ideally with a strong background in import operations and customs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You should have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within a freight forwarding environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hands-on experience with CDS and import customs entries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience handling sea and/or air freight</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good understanding of the import process from clearance through to delivery</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong customer service and communication skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A proactive, can-do approach and the ability to work to deadlinesExperience with CNS, Destin8, Boxtop or Descartes would be advantageous.</p>
