<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Freight Forwarding Assistant to join a well established logistics company. Reporting into the forwarding department, you will assist in the smooth day-to-day running of forwarding operations The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high levels of customer service while supporting import, export, and logistics operations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage and support freight forwarding activities from quotation through to invoicing.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinate import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete and process customs entries for both import and export movements.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, customers, and overseas partners.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Obtain and negotiate competitive rates with shipping lines and transport providers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure customers receive excellent service and regular updates.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain accurate records and documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support the development of efficient operational processes and service standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Key Skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or customs operations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong knowledge of UK and international import/export customs procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience completing customs entries.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Understanding of road freight operations across the EU.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Knowledge of shipping lines serving Iberian, Italian, Benelux, and Chinese markets.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong negotiation and communication skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience using Destin8 software.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Knowledge of sea freight and international shipping operations.</p>
