Freight Operations Coordinator

<p class="text-muted mb-3">I am seeking a Freight Operations Controller for a permanent role near Horsham, West Sussex.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous UK based freight forwarding experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements and Coordinate Air, Road and Sea Shipments to/from the UK and Cross Trade moments from start to finish.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A love of providing bespoke shipping solutions and engaging with customers and all others involved in the shipping process is essential!</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Role: Operations Controller - Logistics industry</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Location: Near Horsham, West Sussex</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday (08:30-17:30)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Main responsibilities:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Support the operations team in fulfilling all customer</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinate Air, Road and Sea Shipments to/from the UK and Cross Trade movements from start to finish.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure accurate billing and strong commercial judgement on margins per customer.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Accurately complete job files and book jobs onto the internal system.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Update track/trace customer portals on relevant jobs ensuring accurate data entry and milestone reports via email.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Prepare and present quotations for projects, ad-hoc and regular movements.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure 100% compliance in everything you do.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist the operations team in the on-call rota. This is shared equally between the staff and is paid in addition.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with pick/pack/distribution related activity (manual)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ideal candidate profile:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Freight Forwarding experience essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Logistics and Customer Service experience required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A calm manner and ability to work under pressure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build & maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, both internal & external.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to create/write and articulate reports and customer proposals.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Possess a 'go the extra mile' mentality with a strong work ethic.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Initiative and ability to work autonomously.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">General fitness to help out in stores as & when required.</p>
