General Assistant

Starrycare is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Assistant to support the smooth day‑to‑day operations across our client sites. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of housekeeping, catering, cleaning, and general support duties while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with general cleaning, housekeeping, and catering duties as required.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages where applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas.
• Replenish supplies and report any shortages or maintenance issues.
• Follow health & safety, infection control, and COSHH procedures.
• Assist colleagues to ensure the efficient running of the service.
• Provide a friendly and professional service to service users, visitors, and staff.
• Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
• Participate in training and continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a general assistant, cleaning, catering, or hospitality role is desirable.
• Basic knowledge of health & safety, hygiene, and infection control practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
