About the Role

We are looking for a commercially driven Head of Conservatories, Windows & Doors to take full ownership of this key growth area. You will lead the department end-to-end, overseeing sales, P&L, suppliers, product, marketing, surveying, contract costing, installations and customer experience, while working closely with senior management and store teams to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of departmental sales, margin, costs and P&L performance, setting budgets and targets and driving results.

Develop and manage the product, supplier and pricing strategy, negotiating commercial terms and monitoring supplier performance.

Lead the sales strategy, working with marketing and store teams to maximise lead generation, conversion and sales performance.

Oversee the full customer journey, from initial enquiry through to survey, quotation, installation and aftercare.

Manage and develop the surveying, costing, sales, administration and operations teams, setting clear KPIs and objectives.

Monitor contract costs against expectations, identifying discrepancies and taking action to protect margins.

Oversee installation and service operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard.

Drive customer satisfaction, testimonials and online reputation while managing complaints and implementing improvements.

Work with marketing to develop campaigns, showroom displays and content that generate new enquiries and support sales.

Monitor competitors, market pricing and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.

Ensure all installation activity meets relevant health & safety, regulatory and compliance

requirements.

Coach, develop and motivate the wider team, identifying and developing future management talent.

Requirements / Skills

Proven experience of managing a P&L and delivering commercial performance, ideally within retail, home improvements, fenestration or a related sector.

Strong commercial understanding with experience managing sales, margins, costs and budgets.

Confident negotiating with suppliers and managing commercial relationships.

Experience leading teams across multiple functions, ideally including sales, operations and installation.

Strong understanding of the customer journey from lead generation through to installation and aftercare.

Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

A hands-on and adaptable approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience within windows, doors, conservatories, glazing or wider home improvements would be highly advantageous.
