Goods In Supervisor

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Driver Hire Southampton are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Goods In Supervisor to join a successful and growing business based in the Winchester area.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Our client is a well-established supplier and distributor of cleaning, hygiene and janitorial products, supplying businesses across a range of sectors. Their extensive product range includes cleaning chemicals, PPE, paper products, gloves, waste sacks, cleaning equipment and other janitorial supplies.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As Goods In Supervisor,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the goods-in operation, ensuring deliveries are received, checked, recorded and put away accurately and safely.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supervising the day-to-day Goods In operation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Receiving and unloading incoming deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Identifying and reporting shortages, damages or incorrect goods</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Booking stock onto the warehouse system</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Organising and putting stock away into the correct locations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining accurate stock records</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supervising and allocating work to warehouse staff</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring the warehouse and Goods In area remain organised and tidy</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working closely with purchasing and other warehouse departments</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring all health & safety procedures are followed</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operating warehouse equipment/forklift where required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Helping resolve stock and delivery discrepancies</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting the wider warehouse operation when required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will ideally have:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience within a warehouse or Goods In environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous supervisory or team-leading experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good organisational and communication skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong attention to detail</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience checking and booking in deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good understanding of stock control</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A hands-on approach to warehouse management</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Forklift experience/licence would be advantageous</p>
