<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are currently recruiting for an experienced Groupage Operator to join a busy European road freight operation based in Tamworth.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, proactive transport professional with experience in European road freight who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As a Groupage Operator,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day movement of European import and export groupage shipments, ensuring freight is planned efficiently, trailers are utilised effectively, and customers receive a high level of service. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, warehouse colleagues, transport partners and European suppliers to ensure shipments move efficiently from collection through to final delivery.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage the end-to-end operation of European import and export groupage shipments.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Plan and control linehaul movements, ensuring shipments are placed on the first suitable departure.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maximise trailer capacity through effective load planning and consolidation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Liaise with warehouse teams to coordinate the accurate and timely loading and unloading of international trailers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manage transport partners and suppliers to ensure collections and deliveries are completed on time.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitor shipments and proactively identify and resolve delays or transit issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide accurate and timely updates to customers, suppliers and internal teams</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Prepare and manage transport and customs documentation, including CMRs, manifests, transit documents and customs declarations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all shipment documentation is accurately completed and uploaded to internal systems.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Accurately cost and charge shipments within required timescales.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure additional costs are identified and recovered where appropriate.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Review supplier invoices and monitor shipments for potential financial losses.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work collaboratively with Sales, Warehouse and Operations teams to maintain excellent customer service.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all movements comply with relevant transport, customs, environmental, company and health & safety</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for an experienced transport professional who is confident working in a busy European road freight environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Essential:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">At least 2 years' experience within European transport operations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong knowledge of domestic and/or European road freight.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A good understanding of European transit times and transport planning.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong verbal and written communication skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to prioritise effectively and identify operational showstoppers.</p>
