People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to join our well-established client based in Middlesbrough, TS3 8DG .

This is an excellent opportunity offering competitive rates of pay, ongoing work, and both day and night shifts to suit your availability.

This role would suit applicants who have worked as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver or ADR Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• Days: £19.00 per hour
• Nights: £21.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Day shifts available
• Night shifts available
• Flexible start times depending on shift requirements
• Ongoing work available

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver are:

• Carrying out HGV Class 1 deliveries and collections
• Transporting dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections
• Ensuring loads are correctly secured and all relevant documentation is completed
• Complying with UK road traffic laws and transport legislation
• Following all relevant ADR safety procedures and requirements
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
• Reporting vehicle defects, incidents, or maintenance requirements
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism throughout each shift

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 ADR Driver , you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence
• A valid ADR Certificate appropriate to the dangerous goods being transported
• A valid Driver CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience
• A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and transport regulations xwwtmva
• Knowledge of ADR safety procedures
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude

Training:

• A driver assessment may be required before starting
• Site-specific paid induction and training provided where required
• Ongoing support to help you work safely and efficiently
