HGV Class 1 Driver Operative - Manchester - UK and EU Travel

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Our well known client is looking for a Class 1 Driver / Driver Operative for their Motorsports division, you'll support/deliver on event logistic In Formula racing</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">In this role you will require European travel.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary £40,000-£43,000 plus per diem (approx £50 per day)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HOURS: 228 annualised days contract</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3"> </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Job Purpose:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Main tasks at European F1 events:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Loading and unloading of trucks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Drive to and from European race Circuits.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Away for up to 3 weeks per event, Between May and September</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Manual handling of equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Complete time sensitive deliveries.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work as part of a small team on various contracts, as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Daily vehicle checks.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintain admin and paperwork. For both vehicle and deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Face to face relationship with customers while on site at events.  </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Main tasks (Sept to April) :</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To work as part of the transport team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experienced people with the capability to manage the day-to-day tasks required to fulfil these roles.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ability to adapt and embrace change while keeping calm in a pressured time driven environment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To be flexible with working times and days and be part of a shift operation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Needs to be able to communicate effectively to customers,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To be able to produce a checkable 5-year work history</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To work closely with the Transport planners</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hold a clean current HGV / LGV Class C / C+E licence.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hazardous trained licence would be advantageous.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Basic IT knowledge (use of Apps / mobile phones)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To have awareness and will be compliant in all DVSA / EU / UK & WTD processes and procedures and legislation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A responsibility for all aspects of Health & Safety in the workplace and on the road,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Awareness of the Aviation Security regulations  and ensuring compliance at all times (training will be provided on Employment).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Skills, Experience & Educational Qualifications required: </p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Availability to travel to European events (solo travel on certain occasions) which may entail and require extended periods away.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Flexibility to work on weekends and overtime (night shifts on occasions that require)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Interested and passionate about events logistics.</p>
