The role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to support transport operations on a temporary afternoon shift. You will be responsible for completing delivery and collection work safely, professionally and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Driving HGV Class 1 vehicles with curtainsider trailers • Completing local and European transport work as required • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys • Ensuring loads are secure and handled safely • Completing delivery paperwork and other required records • Following road safety, transport and site procedures • Providing professional service at collection and delivery points

Skills and qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving entitlement • Experience driving curtainsider vehicles • Good knowledge of safe loading and load security • A responsible and safety-focused approach to driving • Reliable attendance and good timekeeping • Ability to complete required transport documentation • Professional communication skills
