HGV Class 1 Driver

Millison Chase Limited is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 C+E Night Drivers for regular ongoing nationwide hub trunking work based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire .

This is an excellent opportunity for professional Class 1 drivers looking for consistent night work, regular routes and the opportunity to earn additional money through an optional sixth shift.

The role involves transporting palletised and general freight between national distribution hubs, regional distribution centres and logistics depots throughout the UK .

Drivers will primarily complete depot-to-depot trunking routes rather than traditional multidrop deliveries , making this an ideal position for those who enjoy long-distance driving.

Normal start times are between 17:00 and 22:00 , depending on the allocated route.

The standard working pattern is Sunday to Thursday , with an optional Friday shift available for drivers wanting additional hours.

All drivers are paid directly through Millison Chase Limited's in-house PAYE payroll. No umbrella companies are used.

Monday to Friday Nights

• £17.00 per hour PAYE with holiday pay accrued separately

• OR £19.05 per hour PAYE including 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay

Weekend Shifts

• £20.00 per hour PAYE with holiday pay accrued separately

• OR £22.41 per hour PAYE including 12.07% rolled-up holiday pay

Drivers can choose whether to have their holiday pay accrued separately or rolled into their hourly rate .

Working Pattern

• Sunday to Thursday nights

• Optional sixth shift on Friday

• Start times between 17:00 and 22:00

• Drive HGV Class 1 C+E articulated vehicles

• Complete nationwide hub-to-hub trunking routes

• Transport palletised and general freight

• Deliver to national distribution hubs, RDCs and logistics depots

• Complete scheduled collections and return loads where required

• Work to allocated delivery and collection booking times

• Ensure loads are correctly secured

• Complete daily vehicle and trailer safety checks

• Complete delivery paperwork and proof of delivery

• Follow Drivers' Hours, Working Time and Tachograph regulations

• Maintain professional standards when representing the client

• Valid HGV Class 1 C+E Licence

• Valid Driver CPC

• Valid Digital Tachograph Card

• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred

• Trunking or national distribution experience advantageous

• Comfortable completing nationwide night routes

• Available to work Sunday to Thursday

• Flexible for starts between 17:00 and 22:00

• Good understanding of load security

• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious

• Monday to Friday: £17.00 or £19.05 with holiday pay rolled in

• Weekends: £20.00 or £22.41 with holiday pay rolled in
