HGV Class 1 Driver - Warrington, Cheshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Warrington, Cheshire to join our well-established client.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with a leading logistics business.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £18.00 per hour
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Monday - Friday
• AM shifts with start times between

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver are:

• Driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing 3-4 deliveries
• Safely unloading cages using a tail lift and delivering them into stores
• Taking photographs to document successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting any customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks and reporting defects where necessary

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A minimum of twelve months' experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver
• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability

• First-day assessment
• Industry-related training provided
• Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
