HGV CLASS 1 WALKING FLOOR DRIVER

Permanent | Monday–Friday | Widnes, WA8 | 6am start

Up to £49,590 OTE

£15.26 per hour basic | £19.07 per hour overtime

Smart Solutions are recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for a permanent opportunity with our client in Widnes, operating Artic Walking Floor trailers.

If you’re looking for a permanent Class 1 driving role with Monday–Friday working, guaranteed hours and regular overtime, this could be a great opportunity.

THE ROLE

• Driving Class 1 vehicles with Artic Walking Floor trailers
• Completing collections and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining accurate digital tachograph records
• Following Driver Hours and Working Time regulations
• Providing professional customer service at collection and delivery sites

PAY & HOURS

• £15.26 per hour basic rate
• £19.07 per hour after 40 hours
• Saturday: £22.89 per hour
• Bank Holidays: £30.52 per hour
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Regular overtime available
• OTE up to £49,590 based on an average 58-hour working week

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Digital Tachograph card
• Safe and responsible driving approach
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Walking Floor experience preferred, but experienced Class 1 drivers with transferable experience may also be considered
