Cost Manager

In this role you will lead cost management across multiple projects from our Birmingham hub, supporting senior cost managers and driving value for money. You’ll work within a client-focused team to manage pre- and post-contract activities, cost planning, and financial performance. You’ll build strong client relationships and contribute to a culture of collaborative, proactive delivery. • Support Associate / Senior Cost Manager on projects
• Execute pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties
• Involvement in pre-construction cost planning and estimating
• Involvement in post-contract financial management
• Ensure commercial and contractual performance of projects
• Build and maintain client relationships
• Contribute to delivering value for money in all circumstances

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar
• MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body preferred
• Strong technical delivery experience
• Ability to manage complex projects proactively and diligently
• Feasibility and cost planning experience
• Pre- and post-contract experience across schemes
• Experience in procurement advice, tender documentation and post-contract services
• Stakeholder management with a focus on developing client accounts
• Proven ability to work with teams, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Some knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
