HGV Class 2 Driver

<p class="text-muted mb-3">CLASS 2 / 7.5 TONNE MULTI-DROP DRIVERS - PORTSMOUTH</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">SRG Recruitment are seeking experienced LGV / HGV Class 2 / 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Drivers for a client based in the Portsmouth area.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The role will mainly involve multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods, using an electric or manual pump truck. Some strapping and securing of loads may also be required. Previous experience with multi-drop pallet deliveries is essential.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are also interested in speaking with Class 2 drivers from a range of backgrounds, including Multi-Drop, Skip Driver, Tipper Driver, Waste Driver, HIAB Driver, Hook Loader, Grab Driver, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Drivers must be comfortable with loading and unloading, securing loads, completing delivery paperwork and dealing professionally with customers. Good knowledge of the local area and experience working to delivery schedules would be advantageous.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Class 2 / HGV2 / LGV2 driving</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">7.5 Tonne driving</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Multi-drop pallet deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Local and regional deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Electric and manual pump truck use</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Loading and unloading</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Securing and strapping loads</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Delivery paperwork and PODs</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Customer-facing deliveries</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Following planned delivery routes and schedules</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Daily vehicle checks and reporting defects</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Drivers' Hours and WTD compliance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">All types of Class 2 experience will be considered, including Multi-Drop, Skip Lorry, Tipper, Waste & Recycling, HIAB, Grab, Hook Loader, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Category C / Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Multi-drop pallet experience essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Driver CPC / DQC</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Valid Digital Tachograph Card</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">No DD / DR / DG / IN endorsement codes</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and WTD</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good knowledge of the local area</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good communication and customer service skills</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Able to work independently and as part of a transport team</p>
