HGV Driver

Overview

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a well-known, industry‑leading client based in Leeds. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Key Details

Class: Class 1 and 2 – typically driving a class 2 vehicle, but may occasionally drive a Class 1 vehicle.

Shifts: Operation runs Monday to Sunday. Start times vary between 6pm – 3pm.

Pay Rate: £15.36 per hour (PAYE).

Location: Leeds, LS27.

Job Type: Ad‑hoc / Temp / Ongoing.

The Role

Bulk multi‑drop – 15/20 drops/collections. Drivers will be required to unload and load roll cages using a tail lift and pump truck.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement (Category C&E/C).
• Valid and up‑to‑date DCPC and digital tachograph card.
• Minimum 6 months experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Prepared to undertake a short driving assessment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety‑first mindset.
