Hgv Mechanic

<p class="text-muted mb-3">HGV mechanic required four our client based in Bromsgrove</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver an extensive Programme of vehicle maintenance, re-pair, inspection and examination.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">They will work to ensure compliance with statutory legislation, the legal require-ments of the Councils Operators Li-cence, DVSA requirements and internal Council policies and procedures.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To provide support to all the Council Services, we operate an alternating weekly shift rota of early and late shifts to cover the hours of 6.30am - 6pm at each depot (1 week early shift, 1 week late shift).</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ideal candidate will have:</p>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering, or equivalent</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Qualified to VOSA standards for HGV inspections and tests</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Qualified MOT Nominated Tester class 4,5,7 to support the full time MOT retail and Taxi Nominated Tester.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Experience of conducting maintenance, inspection, repair and test services for a diverse fleet including vehicles such as light vehicle van/Tipper's, Small Plant machines, Sweepers, Waste Tankers, and Large Refuse Vehicles.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Experience of performing MIG welding; gas and electric welding. (Preferably a coded welder, but not essential).</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Experience of hydraulic and pneumatic diagnosis/repair</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Possess a full LGV Class 2 Category C Licence</span></li>
