<p class="text-muted mb-3">Salary: £12.71 - £21.10 per hour / £28,089.10 - £46,632.30 per annum, depending on level of experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are currently recruiting for a HGV Mechanic for a busy & well-established family run business.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key duties</h5>

<ul class="list-unstyled job-desc-list mb-3">

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Repair vehicles (mainly HGV but there would also be light vehicles to work on too) and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that the vehicle is running as it should be.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Perform diagnostic work on vehicles to resolve issues using relevant diagnostic equipment.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Ensure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner in line with both internal and manufacturer requirements.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles and a high level of attention to detail.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Possess the ability to work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Minimum of 3 years of Vehicle Technician experience since being qualified</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Qualified to City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>Effective diagnostic skills</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>A strong interest in motor vehicles</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>A class 1 or 2 licence would be an advantage but not essential</span></li>

<li class="d-flex align-items-start mb-2"><i class="mdi mdi-circle-medium text-success fs-15 me-2 mt-1"></i><span>A solid interest and/or experience in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles would be advantageous as we potentially see this role progressing within the field.</span></li>
