<p class="text-muted mb-3">Interaction Technical are working in partnership with a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance and fleet services provider to recruit an experienced HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic to join their expanding workshop team in Scunthorpe.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">As an HGV Technician,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing and repair of a varied commercial vehicle fleet. Your duties will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on a mixed fleet of HGVs and commercial vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Conducting vehicle inspections, defect reporting and preventative maintenance</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding major components, including engines, gearboxes, axles, suspension and braking systems</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out testing and fault-finding to ensure vehicles meet DVSA and company compliance standards</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Completing repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Attending vehicle breakdowns and providing roadside assistance as part of a rota</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out mobile maintenance and repairs at customer sites when required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Accurately completing job cards, service sheets and other maintenance documentation</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To be considered for this position, you will need:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician or PSV Technician — essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent — essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across commercial vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience carrying out servicing, inspections, maintenance and repairs on HGV fleets</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to strip and rebuild major vehicle components</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A full UK driving licence — essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">An HGV licence — desirable but not essential</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team</p>
