HGV Technician – Day Shift

Peterborough | £15–£20 per hour DOE

Description

We are recruiting for an HGV Technician to join a growing commercial vehicle workshop in the Peterborough area.

Salary – £15–£20 per hour, depending on experience

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday: 08:30–17:00.

Overtime available.

The HGV Technician Role

Service, maintain and repair HGVs, light vehicles and trailers.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults.

Prepare vehicles for MOT.

Attend disabled vehicles at the roadside.

Complete job cards and service records.

Follow health and safety procedures.

Requirements

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds qualification or proven relevant experience.

Recent experience in the motor trade within the last two years.

Own tools required.

Full driving licence.

HGV licence advantageous but not essential.

Diagnostic experience beneficial.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
