<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are recruiting a qualified HGV Technician to join a commercial vehicle workshop in Reading.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician looking for ongoing training, career progression and a competitive package.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and ready for the road.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Carry out routine servicing, preventative maintenance and safety inspections on HGVs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Complete major and minor repairs to a high standard within agreed timescales.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Identify worn or defective components in line with DVSA standards.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Undertake wheel alignment and tyre fitting as required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Accurately complete job cards, service records and supporting warranty documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Work closely with the workshop team to diagnose faults and plan repairs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Maintain a clean, organised working environment and follow health and safety procedures.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">About You</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Experience carrying out diagnostic work, servicing and repairs on commercial vehicles.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·A sound understanding of vehicle inspection</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements and DVSA standards.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·A full UK driving licence covering the relevant vehicle classes.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">·Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p>
