HGV1 Driver

About the Role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our client, a well-established transport operator with a depot base in Thame, covering the surrounding areas including Milton Keynes, Luton, Aylesbury and Oxford. Our client operates 24/7, 365 days a year, giving drivers genuine flexibility to choose the work pattern that suits them — whether that's full-time, part-time, block bookings, or weekends only.

Both AM and PM starts are available, and training opportunities are on offer for the right candidates looking to develop further.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles for scheduled deliveries and collections
• Carry out coupling and uncoupling of trailers safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Minimum 12 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
• Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious attitude
• Willingness to work flexibly across AM/PM shifts as required
