Industrial Placement - Lighting Design - London, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Bristol or Edinburgh

In this Industrial Placement, you contribute to lighting design across projects from concept to detailed specifications, working with a team of experts in architectural lighting and daylighting. You gain hands-on experience on national and international assignments while progressively taking on more responsibility. You’ll develop technical skills, coordinate with designers and engineers, and support project delivery and reporting. • Hands-on lighting design for a range of projects
• Carrying out lighting calculations
• Preparation of renderings, drawings, and specifications
• Assisting the production of project-related correspondence and reports
• Project and team administration duties
• Co-ordinating work with designers and engineers of other disciplines

• Studying a recognised degree or diploma in lighting, architecture, engineering, product design or interior design, graduating in 2028 or 2029
• A level (or equivalent) in Maths desirable
• 2.1 or above in relevant modules advantageous
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software desirable
• Knowledge of lighting software, including daylight analysis software, advantageous
• Skills in drawing/sketching and presentation tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) desirable
• Experience in coding, software and digital skills advantageous
