Location: Sbarc | Spark, Maindy Road, Cardiff, CF24 4HQ

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 1+ Months

Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 Hours per week

Pay Rate: £ 14.13 Per Hour

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the finance team to manage financial accounting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Help prepare revenue budgets and close accounts monthly and quarterly.
• Monitor expenses and prepare grant claims and statistical returns.
• Oversee income billing and cashflow processes.
• Manage the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
• Ensure accuracy of general ledger transactions with supporting documentation.
• Maintain banking arrangements, including bank reconciliations and cashflow forecasting.
• Assist with VAT account reconciliation and monthly VAT returns.
• Contribute to improving financial processes and documentations.
• Participate actively in promoting equality and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Work from various locations as required.

Person Specifications

Must Have

• AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification in accounting.
• Basic understanding of accounting functions.
• Experience in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Ability to produce high-quality work and maintain good working papers.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
• Good time management and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to teamwork and equal opportunity policies.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Local Government or Public Sector Finance.
• Ability to communicate in Welsh or willingness to learn.
• Full and valid driving license.
