Logistics Coordinator

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join an established manufacturing business.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is a varied, hands-on role responsible for coordinating the movement of finished machines, parts and materials, ensuring deliveries and collections are arranged efficiently and on time.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working closely with Production, Purchasing, Sales and Operations,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will play an important role in keeping the logistics operation running smoothly and ensuring customers receive their products when required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The Role</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Your responsibilities will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinating UK and international deliveries and collections.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Booking transport and liaising with hauliers, freight companies and company drivers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Communicating with customers and transport providers to arrange delivery dates and times.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Obtaining transport quotations and selecting suitable services.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Preparing and checking shipping and delivery documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Tracking shipments and providing updates where required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Resolving delivery issues, including delays, shortages and damaged goods.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working closely with Production to coordinate logistics</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring finished machines, parts and materials are ready for collection.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting the safe loading and positioning of finished machines.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operating a counterbalance forklift truck to load and unload vehicles and move goods safely around the site.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting import and export shipments where required.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Coordinating urgent and time-critical deliveries.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining accurate records of deliveries, collections and transport costs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monitoring transport costs and looking for opportunities to improve efficiency.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining accurate system information.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensuring company logistics and health & safety procedures are followed.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good communication skills and confidence dealing with customers, suppliers and transport providers.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of issues.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A practical approach to problem solving.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good commercial awareness, particularly around transport costs.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The ability to work effectively as part of a team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.</p>
