I am currently working with a well-established construction and infrastructure business with a strong presence across the UK and a reputation for delivering complex projects across multiple sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a newly qualified Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to develop their career within a commercial, project-focused environment.

Your new role

As a Management Accountant,

you will be responsible for:

Producing monthly management accounts with analysis and commentary.

Supporting month-end reporting, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.

Working closely with operational teams to support project performance reporting.

Analysing project costs, revenues and profitability across multiple contracts.

Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning activities.

Using COINS extensively for financial reporting and project accounting.

Assisting with year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting.

Providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

Supporting continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), ideally with previous management accounting experience in the construction, engineering or project-based sectors. Strong experience with the system COINS is essential.
