<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will be based in Manchester, joining a team of over 80 professionals working on a major overhaul project for the Class 390 Avanti High Speed Trains.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Purpose of Role:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">To ensure all material is delivered to the point of use as required. Collection and delivery of repairable components to and from stores to required work location. Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Location: Manchester Train Care Centre, Longsight, M12 4HR</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Start Date: ASAP</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Envisaged End Date: End of June/September 2027</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Shift Pattern: Days only</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Hours: Upto 48 hours per week - Monday to Friday</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pay:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Pre 12 weeks: PAYE £16.29 per hour (28 days accrued leave) / Umbrella £21.08 per hour</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Post 12 weeks: PAYE £16.29 per hour (33 days accrued leave) / Umbrella £22.27 per hour</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">An additional retainer of £1.00 per hour on all hours worked will be payable.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This is subject to tooling returned in satisfactory condition and you have completed the project.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">This role is inside of IR35 regulations and therefore PAYE or Umbrella Company payment options apply.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good verbal and written communication skills.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">IT skills - competent user of Personal Computer, including office packages, e-mail and intranet. Additionally, should have a clear understanding of bespoke systems i.e. SAP.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operation of Mechanical or Electrical appliances including Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Driving licence</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You must live within a reasonable travelling distance to our client's facility in Manchester City Centre</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Preference to candidates that have worked in safety critical stores environments (i.e. rail/rolling stock, HGV, Aerospace or Military)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You must have the right to work in the UK and be able to provide proof of previous/current FLT ticketResponsibilities:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Work as directed by the Stores Ops Support and comply with:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">External: Suppliers, Delivery Drivers, and 3rd Party Auditors & Contractors .</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Internal: Materials Team, Stores Team, Operations managers, TCC Managers, General Managers, Systems Engineers, depot engineers & operators.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Will be responsible for:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operate the SAP computer system as required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure security of Stores & Tool Stores</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out regular stock checks using the Physical Inventory process</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintenance of Kanban bins for lineside provision of material to Production</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Delivery of materials to point of use as required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Delivery and collection of parts to and from local workshops (Repair Centres)</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out required Line of Route activities for both 5S & Lineside</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Good housekeeping</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operation of Mechanical or Electrical appliances including Forklift Trucks and Overhead cranes</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">MDI (Managing Daily Improvements) by participation in the updating, and presentation of the SQCD Board and boardwalks</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Adherence to Supply Chain Standard Operations</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Assist with production tasks by means of FLT assistanceDue to working in a safety critical environment,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be subject to Drugs and Alcohol Testing and will follow strict Health & Safety controls and guidelines.</p>
