Business Development Manager

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, commercially driven and relationship-focused Business Development Manager to help drive business growth and create new opportunities within the workplace, design and build sector.

This is a strategic new business role focused on identifying, engaging and developing relationships with organisations that could benefit from workplace strategy, design and build services. Working closely with Research, Marketing and Sales teams, you will create opportunities, build a strong pipeline of prospective clients and secure introductions with key decision-makers across a range of sectors.

Success in this role comes from opening doors, building trust and developing long-term relationships that ultimately convert into high-value workplace projects.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and target organisations aligned with business growth objectives.

Generate new business opportunities through research, networking, referrals, outreach campaigns and relationship building.

Develop relationships with C-suite executives, property leaders, workplace strategists and other key stakeholders.

Secure introductory meetings and create opportunities for the Sales team.

Build a detailed understanding of prospective clients, their workplace challenges, business objectives and future plans.

Qualify opportunities and manage them through the early stages of the sales process.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records.

Work collaboratively with Marketing, Research and Sales teams to maximise lead generation activity.

Attend networking events, industry functions and client meetings to raise market profile and develop relationships.

Monitor market trends, occupier activity and workplace strategy developments.

Nurture relationships over time, positioning the business as a trusted partner when projects come to market.

About You

Proven success in a business development, sales or client relationship role.

Strong track record of generating new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships.

Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

Naturally curious, commercially aware and proactive.

Self-motivated with a resilient and target-driven mindset.

Organised and capable of managing multiple opportunities simultaneously.

Experience within workplace consultancy, commercial interiors, fit-out, construction, property or related sectors would be advantageous.

£90,000 basic salary.
