<p class="text-muted mb-3">We have an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking Night Warehouse Operative to join our Basingstoke team.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager,</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">you will be responsible for unloading, picking, handling and loading for customer orders. You will also support the safe loading and unloading of vehicles and help maintain an organised, efficient and safe warehouse.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Full training will be provided on our products, equipment and working procedures. Machinery and lifting equipment must only be used once the appropriate training and authorisation have been completed.</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">Key Responsibilities</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Your duties will include:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Picking and checking metal products accurately against customer orders and picking documentation.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Operating machinery and handling equipment safely and in accordance with training and safe working procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Loading company vehicles accurately against the driver’s manifest.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Checking product identification, quantities, dimensions and condition before dispatch.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Storing materials safely and maintaining accurate stock locations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Following all health and safety</p>

<h5 class="fw-bold text-success mt-4 mb-3">requirements, including PPE, manual handling and risk-control procedures.</h5>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Reporting damaged materials, equipment faults, hazards, near misses and accidents promptly.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Supporting stock checks, batch traceability and quality-control procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Working closely with warehouse colleagues, drivers, sales teams and other departments.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Providing a courteous and helpful service to customers and suppliers collecting or returning materials.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carrying out other reasonable warehouse duties to support the needs of the business.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Desirable Experience</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">The following would be an advantage but is not essential:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Previous warehouse, metal stockholding or materials-handling experience.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience of picking, packing, loading or goods-in and goods-out operations.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">A recognised forklift truck qualification.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience using warehouse or stock-management systems.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Knowledge of quality-control or batch-traceability procedures.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Basic mechanical knowledge.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">£28,300 per annum + night shift allowance.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Approved overtime paid at time and a half on weekends</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">4% employee and 4% employer matched contributory pension scheme.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">20 days’ annual holiday plus eight bank/public holidays, subject to the applicable holiday arrangements.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Christmas shutdown, using 3 days of annual holiday entitlement.</p>
