Parcel Sorter (Full Time Until Christmas)
Job Description & Overview
Royal Mail delivers mail and parcels across the nation ensuring every parcel reaches its destination safely. We’re looking for hardworking and reliable individuals to work as a Parcel Sorter in their busy Distribution Centre based in Atherstone for 4-5 weeks from 16TH November 2026.
These jobs are available for those that do not have transport to make their own way as a FREE coach will be provided from Birmingham City Centre for the expected 4-5 weeks working period.
Duties can include:
Sorting parcels from a conveyor belt
Sorting by region involving both numeric and alphabetical labels
Loading parcels into York cages in a timely and efficient manner.
Being on your feet for the whole shift and pulling cages so is physically demanding
Always maintaining attention to detail
You must be available to work full time of 5 shifts per week and will involve weekends.
Shifts available are either
• 06:00 – 14:00 Tuesday - Saturday
• 14:00 – 22:00 Monday - Friday
Additional shifts to be worked at weekends when required.
Pay Rates
06:00 – 14:00 @ £15.14 p/hr
14:00 – 22:00 @ £15.14 p/hr
2hrs per shift travel time paid for travelling by coach
The coach meeting time will be 1.25hrs before shift start time (4.45am/12.45pm)
You will be required to go through a vetting process which includes a criminal background check along with Right to Work, proof of NI and ID documentation.
