<p class="text-muted mb-3">Job Type: Full time, Permanent. Monday-Friday days 8am - 4pm/6am - 2pm and late shift 4 on 4 off 3pm - 2am.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We are looking for PSV / HGV Technicians to join our engineering team at our Reading depot.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">We want hard-working, self-starting individuals with a passion for repairing and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You will play an important role in ensuring our bus fleet is maintained to a high standard and operates safely and reliably.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">You'll be joining an award-winning department that is a founder member of the DVSA's Earned Recognition scheme.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Inspect, repair, and maintain our buses to a high standard</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Investigate and diagnose mechanical and electronic faults</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs as required</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Record faults and the work performed to fix them using a tablet</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Follow all safety instructions and procedures</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Report any issues promptly and accurately</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Contribute to a safe, compliant and efficient workshop environment</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Ensure all work is completed to the required engineering and safety standardsShift Patterns:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Positions are available across a range of shift patterns, including:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Monday - Friday day shift: Alternating two-week shift pattern of 8am - 4pm & 6am - 2pm</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">4 on / 4 off late shift: 3pm - 2amThe rate of pay will be determined by the rota you work on, with rates of £29+ per hour available.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Experience & Qualifications:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Our ideal candidates will:</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Possess at least an NVQ Level 2 qualification in the maintenance and repair of public service vehicles or heavy goods vehicles, or an equivalent international qualification</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">OR have at least five years' experience in repairing and maintaining public service or heavy goods vehicles</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Be able to provide evidence of relevant experience where the five-year experience route is being used</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Provide evidence of your qualification from the awarding body</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Have a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic vehicle systems</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Be confident diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Have a strong commitment to safety and high standards of workmanship</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">Be hard-working, self-starting and able to work effectively as part of a teamIf you don't have an NVQ qualification, you'll need to pass the IRTEC Service Maintenance Technician exam during your six-month probation period.</p>

<p class="text-muted mb-3">While not essential, having a PCV licence would be a great advantage.</p>
